Monthly Service Corps

Coordinated by the Community Academic Center, Monthly Service Corps is an opportunity for Buffalo State students and youth from the West Side of Buffalo to come together to volunteer for a Saturday afternoon. Buffalo State students work with youth in local schools to identify and design a service project. All Buffalo State students are welcome to participate in any of the service projects and serve alongside youth from the West Side community.

Since 2012, Monthly Service Corps has connected 390 Buffalo State and high school volunteers in service projects that benefit our West Side neighborhood for a combined total of 1,183 hours. Past projects have included school beautification, gardening, and housing rehabilitation.
